I am a licensed clinical social worker with experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds in various settings; such as residential treatment facilities, hospitals, schools, in the community, and in their home’s. I have obtained my bachelor’s degree from Virginia State University majoring in psychology and a master’s in social work from Howard University.
As we live and walk through life I believe it is inevitable that we will encounter life experiences that have a positive or negative impact on us. Therapy is useful tool to assist with adapting and growing with life experiences and challenges. As a mental health professional, I use evidence-based psychotherapy treatment interventions, in an individual, group, or family setting to assist with managing difficult emotions, including stress, anger, depression, and anxiety.
For all clients, I believe it is critical to look at the whole person, considering the mind-body connection and their environment. I practice from a strengths-based perspective with the goal of rallying the inner resourceful champion within each individual and family. I have a strong belief that within every person lies the desire for evolution, peace, and connection. I aim to assist clients with reaching their goals by providing a safe, non-judgmental place to talk about fears, concerns, and barriers that may interfere.
